CL Research
CL Research develops computational lexicons from machine-readable dictionaries by parsing and processing dictionary definitions, with particular focus on their use in natural language processing (NLP) applications such as word-sense disambiguation, discourse analysis (sample in Internet Explorer), question-answering, and content analysis. CL Research develops dictionaries, semantic networks, lexical knowledge bases, thesauruses, vocabularies, word lists, and lexicons for use in natural language, artificial intelligence, and information retrieval applications by: (1) providing a toolkit (DIMAP) to enable users to develop their own lexical knowledge bases (LKBs) more easily and (2) providing consulting services to assist in lexicon analysis, development, and use. DIMAP makes use of the Proximity Parser (download our demo), available for licensing. CL Research also maintains the site for the Association for Computational Linguistics Special Interest Group on the Lexicon links to publicly available lexical resources (dictionaries and corpora).
